There is no denying that Covid had a major impact on many industries last year, and the fitness industry is no exception. Although the fitness industry isn't recession-proof, there is evidence to show that the industry itself has proven to be resilient in the hardest of times (IHRSA). After a year and a half of shutdowns and government mandates, that still holds true today. Recent studies show that not only is the fitness industry stable, but it's growing. At Eat The Frog Fitness we are proof that nothing can stop a strong leadership team and group of resilient franchise owners.
One thing is for sure: the pandemic served as a wake-up call to a large demographic of people, that they needed to prioritize their health. Not only was it important, but in many cases, being healthy was crucial to overcoming and fending off Covid-19. Realizing that health had oftentimes fallen to the wayside, consumers came out of quarantine with a newfound desire to seek out fitness studios that offered specialized training models and equipment that catered to their needs. At Eat The Frog Fitness we were well equipped to handle this demand. Our athletic-inspired, personal group training model allowed us to create training plans to fit each member's needs, as well as meet them where they were at in their journey. Whether Covid-19 spurred a first-time desire to get fit, or they were seasoned athletes that needed to get back into their routine, utilizing our industry leading equipment and custom heart rate-based technology, we were able to fulfill consumers appetite for bouncing back from Covid and achieving incredible fitness results.

STUDIOS CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT
Before Covid, we had 12 studios open. During Covid, we opened another 13 and have 15 more currently in development. In our endless pursuit of excellence, we pushed forward. Our pre-sale process created some unique opportunities. Owners could leverage their build-out, creating modified pre-sale strategies based on their local situations. Some negotiated additional months of delayed rent with their landlords, giving them more time to pre-sell. In contrast, others focused on outdoor fit camps, digital community building, and brand awareness campaigns as they prepared for their states to re-open gyms.
Eat The Frog Fitness was one of the first to market with a digital offering, our On-The-Go workouts. Our Franchise owners were also quick to action and very willing to be agile - always putting our members' health and wellbeing first. They did this by:
- Offering live zoom sessions with coaches.
- Network-wide launch of our high-end FrogFit Membership that offers a 1:1 coach for accountability and nutrition support through our app.
- Implemented extreme sanitation standards, distanced workouts, no equipment sharing, and much more.
To further illustrate Eat The Frog Fitness's resolve, we had a studio in California that conducted outdoor workouts for over a year and continued to grow its member base throughout.
